That sound you hear is the first half of the year screaming past. It's July 1 and the first half of 2013 is gone.

It's hard for me to believe we are already midway through the year. The older I get, the faster time seems to slip by. Perhaps it's the result of routine we all fall into as adults. Our lives are more spontaneous and adventurous in our youth. Those event-filled years of youth seem longer by comparison.

We all need to break through the monotony so we may enrich our lives. So let's mix things up for this Monday Morning Mixer. How about a movie-related discussion?

The subject I'm putting forth is one you're not likely to have considered before. However, you probably have an opinion. There are no right or wrong answers. I just want you to ponder it and give your personal answer.

What's your favorite film of all-time whose title starts with the letter G?

Yeah, it's an unusual question. Just unusual enough to make you think. You don't have to elaborate or justify your answer if you don't want.

Why the letter G? I picked it spontaneously. G is the seventh letter of the alphabet. July is the seventh month of the year. It seemed appropriate.

A couple of ground rules: 1. The film title must start with the letter G, naturally. Omit any "The", "A", or "An" beginning the title as you would for alphabetizing. 2. Don't ridicule or otherwise diminish anyone else's choice. These are just opinions and we want to respect that.

Here are a few G titles to get your mind started. You do NOT have to pick from this list. These are just some examples.

Again, the above titles are just a few candidates. Name any legitimate G movie you want.

If this social experiment gets enough comments and interest, we'll consider doing other letters of the alphabet. (Start thinking of your Z titles now!)
