The true story of the 1988 football season of the Permian High Panthers of Odessa, Texas. In small town Texas, the entire community lives and dies with its local high school football team. The town shuts down on Friday nights and everyone goes to the games.
During the 1988 season, the Panthers struggle with ongoing personal conflicts on their way through the state playoffs. Each game is one more fleeting moment of the high point of their lives.
Rated PG-13 for thematic issues, sexual content, language, some teen drinking and rough sports action.
