The whole 'Harry Potter' series in under 15 minutes

Our favorite non-Hollywood editor is back and this time Kees van Dijkhuizen has tackled one of the most beloved franchises in recent memory. As a tribute to the Harry Potter films and in recognition of next week's release of Wizards Collection of all 8 films on Blu-ray, Kees created "Mischief Managed: the Harry Potter Retrospective."

You might recall that we have been in love, er lust, er awe of Kees' work since late 2011 when we discovered the young wunderkind's [the films of] series entry for Christopher Nolan. Since then, we've kept our eyes on his twitter page for news of his next project.

When word started breaking that he was working on a Harry Potter tribute, I started to get excited as I enjoyed the books and am a big fan of the movies. Today, Kees debuted his video montage and to say that it's home run would be an understatement.

He literally boils down the essence of 8 films into a tidy 13 minute video that not only stays faithful to the journeys of the main characters, but also conveys the appropriate emotions at the proper times. If you've never seen the films or read the books, I'm confident that after watching this video, you would at least have a passing understanding of the story.

With each passing project the talented 18-year-old film student from Amsterdam proves his passion for film and demonstrates that before long others will be making tribute videos of his films. For now, enjoy his work on Harry Potter.
