The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops launched a web site this week to help refute certain claims made in Dan Brown's book The Da Vinci Code. The site also hopes to stem the reaction from the highly anticipated movie due out in May.

According to the site JesusDecoded.com, the Bishops claim "The Da Vinci Code is a mess, a riot of laughable errors and serious misstatements. Almost every page has at least one of each."

The Da Vinci Code is slated for a May 19th release in theaters, but that date hinges on pending litigation in a British court. Two authors of the book 'Holy Blood, Holy Grail' are suing Brown, accusing him of stealing research from their book and not giving them due credit.
