Smith's Fletch Seeing Green

Thank you very little Chevy Chase. Kevin Smith has received the green light on his Fletch Won project from Miramax, according to various sources. Fletch Won will focus on a younger Fletch and will keep Chevy Chase on the sidelines, much to the shagrin of the originator of the character.

Who's going to play the tongue-in-cheek reporter? Smith favorite Jason Lee is penciled in, but sources say that his casting may change.

Smith is currently finishing post-production on his latest (and regrettably last) Jersey flick, Jay And Silent Bob Strike Back, so one would guess that filming will start sometime after the upcoming strike.
