Yakumo was a regular guy who went to high school and worked nights in a transvestite bar, when a strange young girl, Pai, comes looking for him with a letter and his father's skull. Suddenly his eyes are opened to a secret world of monsters and sorcery hidden just beneath the surface of modern society as Yakumo is devoured by this strange world and his heart captured by the innocent girl who is much more than she initially appears! Yakumo's life, at least what's left of it, will never be the same
