An impressionable young beauty, Norma Shepherd, meets Alonzo White, an undercover Secret Service agent, when she takes up residence in a Mississippi boarding house. Norma's arrival also attracts the unwelcome amorous attention of the despised "town boss," Jeff Ballinger. White is actually investigating Ballinger for criminal conspiracy, and Norma must act as bait in a trap he's setting for the dangerous racketeer.
