Asap Rocky: Where I'm From

Rakim Mayers "Asap Rocky" was named after the legendary New York MC Rakim. By the time he was 8 years old he was already rapping for anyone who'd listen. When he was 12 years old his father was arrested on drug related charges. A year later his older brother was murdered. It became clear to young Asap that he had to do something to provide for himself and his mom. He vowed to make rap his profession. This is the untold story of how ASAP Rocky defied adversity to become a leader of the new school.
