This docudrama examines the establishment of Liechtenstein in 1699, its alliance with Napoleon, the threat of the annexation by Hitler as well as its transformation from peasant state to one of the richest countries in the world. It also investigates its role in selling citizenship to Jews during World War II, how the Princely family of Liechtenstein owns 7 billion Euros, what motivated the world's first whistleblowers Klaus Lins and Heinrich Kieber to share sensitive customer data to foreign authorities and thus spark an international hunt for tax evaders, and how it is dealing with the relaxation of banking secrecy and the withdrawal of billions of client monies.
