'The Future' On DVD This Summer?

No, this isn't the announcement of some holistic, crystal ball on DVD, but rather a good omen for one of the most sought after trilogy on DVD. There's word out of Australia that certain movies down there are carrying a trailer that indicates that the Back To The Future series is finally coming to DVD in the Summer of 2002.

Unfortunately, just because it's coming out on DVD in Australia doesn't mean that it will be available here in the United States. Each region of the Earth is coded and the DVD players sold within each region can only play DVDs specifically coded for that region. For instance, the first season DVD of Buffy The Vampire Slayer was available world wide for almost a year before being made available in the United States.

But this announcement is a good sign that we can expect these movies soon. How soon is a question only the oracle can answer...
