If you felt a disturbance in the Force it's because Disney/Lucasfilm just announced the full cast for next year's Star Wars: Episode VII. The famous names you know from the original trilogy are back: Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, and Carrie Fisher. Even the slightly lesser known names are back: Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca), Anthony Daniels (C-3PO), and Kenny Baker (R2-D2).

The real excitement is over the new names introduced. Big movie fans will recognize a few. Here are all the new additions to the cast:

To top off the announcement, Disney released a photo of the principal cast assembled for a "table read" of the script. The photo has already become legendary amongst Star Wars fanatics. We've annotated the photo with all the names. Click on it to make it bigger. (Photo credit to David James.)

It's all enough to make a fanboy like me giddy with excitement. Wouldn't you like to be a fly on the wall of that room?

Interestingly absent from the names and photo is Billy Dee Williams. Hopefully we'll still see at least a cameo from Lando. Another thing to note: notice the hardbound copies of the script. No digital copies that can be too easily distributed. I wouldn't be surprised if cellphones and/or cameras were not allowed in there either. Finally, check out Harrison Ford's sweaty armpit. I thought Han Solo was supposed to be one cool customer.

Let the speculation on roles begin now! Seriously, give us your comments on this huge announcement.

There are currently 598 days until the release of Star Wars: Episode VII on Dec. 18, 2015.
