Final 'Spider-Man' trailer gets it right - finally

It seems like for a while there we were getting a new trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 every other day. And when you have like 8 new villains and a love story thrown into a complicated origin story, well, there's plenty of footage to go around.

We were (and still are) concerned that this film might be too ambitious and remind people of the villain creep that doomed Spider-Man 3 seven years ago. Has it really been so long since we had to suffer through Spidey's dance moves? Well, thankfully, they learned something from that fiasco and there will almost assuredly not be any dancing in this film.

But what about villains?

Yes, there is still Electro, The Rhino and Green Goblin with hints pointing at fellow Sinister Six members Doctor Octopus and Vulture having at least a cameo in the film, but is it going to be overkill (no pun intended)? I'm beginning to come around, a bit.

This latest and promised "final" trailer does a good job of setting up the film and the storyline. It seems that the Electro and Green Goblin stuff are pretty integral to the plot and come into the film honestly. It's the Rhino stuff that I'm not so sure about. But then I saw the last scene in the trailer and I stopped caring. I want to see that scene. No matter what the cost.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 hits theaters on May 2.
