It's easy to make comparisons of this trailer to Saving Private Ryan or Inglourious Basterds. Let's face it, there's only so many stories that you can tell about World War II before you start repeating yourself.

However, you've never seen this story before. The first trailer sort of laid the foundation of the film and now this second one really gets into the meat of the matter.

Visually the film looks stunning and emotionally there will be more than a few wet eyes in the theater after the credits roll, but where this film really hits home is going to be that innate part of every boy who grows up and plays Army. They envision saving the world from Hitler or Osama Bin Laden or whoever is the current enemy of our country.

When The Monuments Men hits theaters yes, they'll see George Clooney and Matt Damon, but they'll also see the unlikely ones such as John Goodman, Bill Murray and Bob Balaban that will make them believe that one day, they too could be defending this country or saving the world's art collections.

The Monuments Men opens on December 18.
