'Anchorman 2' trailer insults convicts & everyone else

It's the South Park style of comedy, but it's also effective. Insult everyone and no one can really claim to be offended. This approach is part of the reason that Anchorman was so successful and from the first look trailer below, it seems that the sequel is picking up right where the first one left off.

The trailer also provides all that you need to know going in to see Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues. Ron Burgundy is back and is recruited to a new 24 hour cable news network (think CNN in the early '80s) and he gets his old crew back together.

Some new characters also make an appearance in the trailer including Kristen Wiig, who appears to be a love interest for Steve Carell's Brick, and Meagan Good, a new love interest for Ron? Needless to say, both characters make their mark in the trailer and add a new layer to the film that was lacking in the first one.

Wisely, it seems that most of the best jokes are still under wraps and that's quite alright by us. I enjoyed the first film a lot more than I thought I would and this is definitely a sequel that I'm looking forward to seeing.

Hopefully, they will deliver us an extra nice Christmas present when Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues debuts in theaters on December 20. What did you think of the trailer? Did you want to see more?
