We knew that a sequel to Finding Nemo was imminent and that Pixar had already tapped Nemo helmer Andrew Stanton to oversee the project. What we didn't know, we should have been able to guess.

The Finding Nemo sequel will focus not on Nemo per se, but rather his scatter-brained Blue Tang pal Dory. Not only is Ellen DeGeneres set to reprise her role as Dory, but she's pretty excited about it too.

This morning, she tweeted the following.

The image linked above in the tweet is the title treatment for Finding Dory that you can see below.

While very few details are known at this point, it has been confirmed that Nemo and a few pals will return, but this journey is mostly about Dory and her desire to be reunited with loved ones.

Finding Dory is slated to hit theaters on November 25, 2015. Disney is scheduled to have perhaps the biggest single year ever for a studio if all of the releases stay in 2015. Finding Dory joins The Avengers 2, the Pixar Mind Movie, Pirates of the Caribbean 5, Ant-Man, Star Wars: Episode VII and Robopocalypse in 2015. Wow, that's a huge year. But, I'm sure there will be some shifting between now and then.
