The '21 Jump Street' trailer should be arrested for impersonation

It's funny how our news stories sometimes dovetail together. If you had asked me an hour ago to name the worst movie based on a cop show, I would have easily said Starsky & Hutch, directed by Todd Phillips.

If you ask me right now, I would have to say that 21 Jump Street "wins" hands down. And that's based solely on the first red-band trailer for the movie that you can peep below.

I know, I know. Don't judge a movie by its trailer and all that, but seriously I think you'll forgive me this one transgression when you watch the trailer for yourself.

As a child of the '80s, I dug 21 Jump Street quite a bit and it was the gritty reality of the show that really made the show work. So, I have quite a few fond moments when I look back upon it.

And now, Jonah Hill and company have shit upon them in one flimsy trailer by turning the crime series into little more than Never Been Kissed Part 2. But don't just take my word for it. Watch it below and share your grief with us.
