Unfortunately, there's only so many stories that you can cover when your employee count is below five. One of the stories that fell through the cracks from last month has to do with next month's Scream 4.

You can see over to the right that they finally released a new poster and it's clearly heads and shoulders above the original one. It seems that filmmakers are truly looking to reboot the franchise by focusing on the horror aspects and less about the spoof that the later sequels became.

That's not to say that they are abandoning comedy altogether. I think you'll agree with me after watching the new trailer (and yes, that also dropped last month around the time of the new poster) that there's plenty of laughs to balance out the thrills.

As a huge fan of the original trilogy, this is one of those movies that I'm looking forward to with a bit of trepidation. I feel good about Wes Craven and Kevin Williamson's involvement. In their hands, I'm pretty sure that Scream 4 can't miss. But, there's always the potential for failure if a franchise has outlived its relevancy or if the audience doesn't connect with the new cast of through characters that will populate the new trilogy.

All in all, this trailer relieved a lot of my fears. Watch it and let us know what you think.

Also, in case you missed it. The first three films were announced this week as coming to Blu-ray on March 29. Click on the titles below to sign up for release reminders for them.
