Disgusting new 'motion poster' for 'Haunting in Connecticut'

Lionsgate has given Yahoo! Movies the exclusive first look to a new "motion poster" for The Haunting in Connecticut. I think you'll all agree that it's pretty darn disgusting.

On the other hand, I am intrigued by this motion poster concept. This is the first one of these I've encountered. I'm betting it'll be a trend soon enough. Hopefully future incarnations will give you the option to turn off the sound or pause the annoyingly-looped playback.

Here is the provided synopsis:

Based on a chilling true story, Lionsgate's THE HAUNTING IN CONNECTICUT charts one family's terrifying, real-life encounter with the dark forces of the supernatural. When the Campbell family moves to upstate Connecticut, they soon learn that their charming Victorian home has a disturbing history: not only was the house a transformed funeral parlor where inconceivable acts occurred, but the owner's clairvoyant son Jonah served as a demonic messenger, providing a gateway for spiritual entities to crossover. Now unspeakable terror awaits, when Jonah, the boy who communicated with the dead, returns to unleash a new kind of horror on the innocent and unsuspecting family.

I'm not much for horror, but my wife is a connoisseur of this stuff. Her two favorite movie genres are ones involving ghosts/spirits and those based on a true story. (Yeah, it's a weird dichotomy that has her splitting her TV time between Supernatural and the Lifetime network.)

Needless to say, my wife is thrilled about this upcoming film. I showed her the trailer and she was eager with anticipation. She remembered that the true story was profiled in an episode of A Haunting on The Discover Channel. (That ep is available on DVD.)

You can join my wife in line for this one. I'll be at home watching something that won't scare me to the core. The Haunting in Connecticut opens in theaters on March 27.
