The 'Choke' poster is a tease

Chuck Palahniuk, the writer behind Fight Club, is certainly not one to shy away from controversy. His frank and graphic depictions of the fringe elements of society make for some compelling novels and it's a shame that only Fight Club has been given the big screen treatment.

That will all change on September 26th when Palahniuk's Choke will debut in theaters. A more independent movie than Fight Club, its reduced budget should better serve the book's subject matter that ranges from sexual addiction groups to choking for profit to working in a Colonial theme park.

The teaser poster is certainly just that as it teases the viewer of its lurid content. Choke stars Sam Rockwell and Anjelica Huston.

Chuck Palahniuk's new novel, "Snuff," hits bookstores this week. It's another lurid tale of an aging adult film star determined to set the record for most sexual acts in one session and the 600 men who show up to help her get the record.
