Super cool 'Pirates 3' coming to DVD Dec. 4

One of the biggest films of the summer bringing in over $306 million at the box office date, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End will set sail on DVD this December.

The Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley adventure can be had in either a single disc or two-disc edition on Dec. 4. The movie will also be released on Blu-ray Disc.

As for special features, both varieties will include filmmaker commentary and outtakes. In addition, the two-disc set will carry the following extras:

  • All-New Short Film "Tales of the Code: Wedlocked" - created exclusively for home entertainment release

  • "Crew Confidential"

  • "Anatomy of a Scene: The Maelstrom"

  • "Keith & The Captain"

  • "Inside The Brethren Court"

  • Tale of Many Jacks

  • Hoist the Colors

  • Masters of Design

  • Pirate Code: Revealed

  • World of Chow Yun Fat

  • A Producer's Diary

  • Pirate Maestro: The Music of Hans Zimmer

The two-disc Blu-ray edition will have all these bonus features as well as new HD features.

Plus, research proves pirates are cool. Disney's sales materials boast stats proving the movies hipness factor with the kids. The Pirates franchise is over two and a half times as cool as Spider-man, they say.

Numbers are involved so they must be true, right?
