Back in May, we told you that Hollywood had greenlighted Chuck Palahniuk's Choke with Sam Rockwell in the lead. Now, we can report that production is set to start this week in New Jersey and Sam's mother has been cast.

Back when Sam was cast as lead Victor Mancini, big Hollywood names Glenn Close, Annette Bening and Julianne Moore were being bandied about as potential actresses to play Victor's mentally unstable mother. Today, the official word is that Academy Award winner Anjelica Huston won the role.

Choke is the second book from Chuck Palahniuk to be made into a film. You might remember his first book-turned-movie as a little tale of testosterone gone wild called Fight Club.

Choke is still on track for an April 2008 theatrical release.
