Disney has a really cool new web site to promote this week's DVD release of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. On this interactive site you can send your friends and family a voice message animated by a disembodied skull.

The best part of the site is the ability to record your own voice via telephone. Simply visit the site and choose the "record by phone" option. You'll then be directed to call a toll free number and enter a special code. This interfaces immediately into the web site. After you record your message, you can preview it and then send it loved ones via email.

You can also choose from several pre-recorded messages as spoken by a pirate-sounding actor. Or, you can enter some text and save it synthesized to voice. Of course that last option sounds pretty computer-y and honestly quite lame.

To get you into the pirate mood, the site features a "Speak Ye Pirate Like" guide to sounding like a buccaneer. You can also dress up your animated skull to look like Captain Jack.

So what ye waitin' for? Send one yerself or prepare to walk the plank!
