Tom Cruise is tops at the box office

According to motion picture exhibitors, the top money making star in their theaters in 2005 was Tom Cruise. The actor who starred in last year's War of the Worlds has taken the top honor in the Quigley Poll a record seven times.
Johnny Depp looks to move up from second to first this year with this summer's sequel Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. Parents-to-be Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie tied for third based on the strength of their movie Mr. and Mrs. Smith.
