Russell Crowe fined for phone incident

Actor Russell Crowe pleaded guilty to 3rd degree assault charges after throwing a phone at a hotel concierge in June. Crowe was fined $160 and urged to behave.

His conditional discharge comes with the stipulation that he must remain out of trouble for at least one year, or face the original felony assault and criminal possession of a weapon (yes, a phone) charges.

While the official fine was light at $160, it is being reported that Crowe settled the civil case with the concierge for about $100,000.
