To sequelize or not to sequelize 'Elizabeth,' that is the question

It seems that quoting Shakespeare might be more apropos when talking about the sequel to Elizabeth these days. After the trades announced an April start on "Elizabeth: The Golden Age" with Cate Blanchett back in the titular role, the Queen herself put the brakes on the story.

"I'm really good friends with Shekhar Kapur and he's forever saying he's going to do this movie or that movie and I think there was talk about it. There's so much there if it were to happen, but my initial instinct is, why?"

The trades also claimed that Geoffrey Rush would be returning, while Clive Owen would join the cast. More word on this to follow...
