Oops! Britney really did it this time

Pop star Britney Spears confirmed on her web site what the tabloids have been telling us for months, she and husband Kevin Federline are expecting their first child.

The announcement was short and to the point. "The time has finally come to share our wonderful news that we are expecting our first child together. There are reports that I was in the hospital this weekend, and Kevin and I just want everyone to know that all is well. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers."

This is the first child for the 23 year old singer/actress, while it will be the third child for Kevin (he has two children from his ex-girlfriend Shar Jackson). The couple recently announced that they were doing a Newlyweds-esque reality TV show for the UPN network that will chronicle their courtship and wedding, and presumably now, the birth of their child.
