Ben Affleck goes to war

Ben Affleck is about to depart for the Gulf to join the effort in Iraq. However, he will be carrying a film reel instead of a gun.

The actor is planning on spending the upcoming holidays with the troops showing them his new movie Paycheck. In the movie, which opens on Christmas day back here in the States, Affleck plays a computer engineer who is contracted out to a company only to find that his memory is erased after the job is complete.

He has given himself some clues that will hopefully unlock the door to his erased memory and the evil plot of the company that hired him. Affleck is the latest celebrity to make the rounds in Iraq since the war broke out earlier this year. Sean Penn, Robin Williams and President George W. Bush have all spent time in war-torn Iraq rallying the troops.
