John Cleese Joins 'Shrek 2'

Veteran funny-man John Cleese has been added to the cast list for the sequel to Dreamworks' highly successful animated hit Shrek. Cleese will be portraying Fiona's father, the king of Far Far Away.

In Shrek 2, the whole brood is back (Mike Myers, Cameron Diaz and Eddie Murphy) and they're off to meet Fiona's parents. Unfortunately, Fiona's parents don't know about their daughter's curse or that their son-in-law is an ogre.

Shrek 2 is aiming for an early 2004 release.
