'The Miracle' On The Big Screen?

On February 22, 1980, Al Michaels uttered, arguably, the five most memorable words in sports broadcasting, "Do you believe in miracles?" Well, Disney believes and it's hoping that lightning will strike twice.

Disney had great success with the true, sports inspiration story The Rookie earlier this year and they've decided to go to the well once more with The Miracle. The Miracle will portray the drama and unbelievable resolve of the "Miracle On Ice," the U.S. Men's Hockey team defeating the vaunted Soviet Union team at the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid, New York on their way to the gold medal.
