'The X Files' Sequel Uncovers More Truth

The truth is out there.

And while we'll get the truth on Sunday, don't worry, there's plenty of secrets still to be told. X Files creator Chris Carter has assured the fans that while the TV series is indeed over, the mythology will live on in movies, sort of.

He did acknowledge that plans are underway to begin shooting on The X Files 2 next Summer, but he did warn that it will be a stand alone movie. Don't worry, he didn't dismiss doing movies that revolve around the central alien/government conspiracy mythology that drove the TV show for nine seasons, he's just not tackling it for the next movie.

As for David Duchovny, who returns for the two hour series finale on Sunday, being involved in the next project, Duchovny himself remarks, "I would do it in a minute."
