Ridley Scott To Sniff A Little 'Perfume'

Ending months of speculation, uber-director Ridley Scott announced that his next film will be Perfume. Scott, known primarily for his action movies, was nominated for and lost the Best Director Oscar the last two years (Gladiator in 2001 and Black Hawk Down in 2002).

Perfume, the story of a boy with an acute sense of smell who starts killing people in order to steal their body odor, is a surprise choice for the director's next project. There were rumors that Scott was deciding between the historical pieces Alexander The Great and Tripoli.
