In a move that really surprises no one, it was all but confirmed this week that Fox has its sights set on Russell Crowe to lead its tentpole picture Tripoli. If this rumor comes to fruition, it would re-team Crowe with director Ridley Scott. As you'll recall, they combined their talents to make a fairly successful movie a couple of years ago called Gladiator.
Tripoli follows the exploits of an American who leads a coup against the military regime of Tripoli (Libya) during the late 1880s.
