When movie star Douglas Brown is blackmailed with a video, he hires a private detective to track down the culprit. But when the detective finds the wrong man, an aspiring writer-director, a chain of harrowing events leads the writer to have to commit a dangerous crime in this darkly-comic thriller featuring Academy Award nominee Robert Forster (1998, Best Actor in a Supporting Role, Jackie Brown), Dan Hedaya (Blood Simple), Zoe Bell (Quentin Tarantino's Death Proof) and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (TV's Girls).
