Turner Classic Movies and Universal are proud to present THE NIGHT WALKER AND DARK INTRUDER: HORROR DOUBLE FEATURE. The name Universal has long been synonymous with the horror genre, starting with famous monster movies of the 1930s and continuing through to contemporary films. While many of these movies feature supernatural elements, they also share a penchant for moody atmosphere and suspense that slowly draw viewers into the mystery until the final terrifying reveal. Included in this collection are two films that showcase not only these horrific thrills, but also such stars as Barbara Stanwyck, Robert Taylor and Leslie Nielsen. The Night Walker Dreams have been a recurring theme in film from its earliest years, but in director William Castle's hands the question of what dreams mean becomes a terrifying story of the line between fantasy and reality in The Night Walker (1964). Barbara Stanwyck, in her final feature film, stars as a woman haunted by dreams of an imaginary lover dreams that increase in intensity after her husband dies. Robert Taylor co-stars as the attorney determined to help her solve the mystery. Dark Intruder While most famous for his later work in comedy, Leslie Nielsen had a long career as a leading man in a variety of genres, including horror. Dark Intruder (1965) stars Nielsen as an Occult expert who is brought in by police to help solve a series of murders in which a mystical statue is left at each crime scene. Nielsen is on the case, until he discovers the mysterious connection between the victims in this gothic horror tale.
