A desperately shy young woman who expresses herself by singing in the timeless voices of Judy Garland, Marilyn Monroe and others. When her mother brings home her new boyfriend, a sleazy talent scout, he hears L.V.'s incredible crooning and the two scheme to transform L.V. into a star. Ultimately, L.V. finds love, courage, and above all, the kind of happiness usually found in fairy tales.
