An orphaned young girl, Jane Eyre (Anna Paquin, True Blood), suffers humiliation and abuse at the hands of her aunt (Fiona Shaw, Killing Eve) and is subsequently banished to a strict boarding school for several years. Upon her release, the adult Jane (Charlotte Gainsbourg, I'm Not There) becomes a governess at Thornfield Hall, caring for the child of Mr. Rochester (William Hurt, Goliath). She soon finds herself in a passionate romance with the handsome and mysterious Mr. Rochester. Swept up in the possibility of a happy new life, Jan eis shattered when terrible, untold secrets from his past are revealed, threaning to tear her and her lover apart forever
