As we've mentioned many times before, this Summer has the potential to be one of the biggest box office grossing periods of all-time. There are just so many intriguing films coming out in the next few months.

One film that has sort of stayed below the radar for many people is Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. It's based on the Seth Grahame-Smith novel in which the 16th President of the United States battles blood-sucking vampires.

Sadly I haven't read the book, but from what I surmised from Wikipedia before I hit closed the browser window so as not to spoil myself completely, Vampires from Old Europe make their way over to the United States and settle mostly in the South. Apparently the Civil War has more to do with Vampires wanting to conquer the humans in America that territorial rights or slavery.

Who knew? Tim Burton and Timur Bekmambetov, that's who.

Burton is attached to the film as producer while Bekmambetov, easily my favorite visual director, is directing the film and their vision is slathered all over this new trailer. I'm not sure if the whole vampire thing is overplayed yet, but I do know that I want to see this film in theaters as it looks to be one of the year's biggest action hits.

Take a look at the trailer below and let us know what you think. Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter starts piling up the vamps on June 22.
