Hostel II poster -- what the heck is it?

Lionsgate tells us that the ratings police at the MPAA has approved the teaser poster for Hostel: Part II, the sequel to 2006's big gore-fest Hostel. The MPAA probably approved it because they, like us, couldn't figure out what the heck it was.

Is it a photo of QT's internal organs? Is it rotting meat? My best guess is that it's a close-up of writer/director Eli Roth's sick and twisted mind.
