Best DVDs of 2004 nominated for DVDX Awards

When something gets as big as DVD is nowadays, a group of awards honoring the best of the medium is sure to pop up. The "DVD Exclusive Awards" are just that.

As a matter of fact, this is the fifth year for the DVDX Awards (their "hip" abbreviation). The categories are broken into two groups: Special Editions for those programs previously released elsewhere (like in theaters and on TV) and DVD Premiere Movies (pretty much self-explanatory, eh?).

The winners are to be announced at a ceremony on Feb. 8. Here is the complete list of this year's nominees:
