Robert De Niro discloses cancer shocker

Robert De Niro, one of the most recognized actors in Hollywood, disclosed today through his spokesman that he has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. The two-time Oscar winner who took home statues for his roles in Raging Bull and The Godfather Part II is undergoing an undisclosed treatment regimen and is expected to make a full recovery.

Long known for his serious, gangster type roles, lately De Niro has been experimenting against type in some highly successful comedies such as Analyze This, Meet The Parents and Showtime.
